After touring the southern states with The Original Drifters in the 80's I went back to school to learn as much about the sounds I loved and heard. "Californy is the place to be" as sung for the Beverly Hillbillies would be descriptive but it "was" the place to be for exposure to some of the best musicians and teachers in the world. A year at Musicians Institute in 1989 taught me the skills to perform and my goal has been to see many new places along the way.
I have crossed the US a few times with a variety of bands, toured Caribbean Islands aboard a cruise ship, played Italy's northern provinces with Lisa Bell and a side trip to the Scandinavian countries with rock band Exiled. We won't even go into the country band that played behind chicken wire...!
